Dry skin usually benefits from fewer opportunities to strip moisture and more consistent barrier support. In K-beauty terms, that can mean gentle cleansing, optional hydrating layers, a dependable moisturizer and daily sunscreen.
Cleanse less aggressively
If your face feels tight immediately after cleansing, the routine is giving you useful feedback. Consider a gentler cleanser, shorter cleansing time or simply rinsing with water in the morning if that works for you.
Hydrating layers are optional tools
Essences and toners can add water-based hydration without heaviness. They are helpful when they improve comfort, not because a K-beauty routine is “supposed” to have them.
Seal with moisturizer
A watery essence cannot replace the role of a moisturizer for very dry skin. Use a cream or lotion rich enough to reduce tightness and keep the routine comfortable.
Finish with sunscreen
Choose a sunscreen texture you can use generously. A hydrating or dewy format may be easier to integrate when your skin already tends to feel dry.
